Steven Young is licensed as both an architect and a contractor, allowing for efficiencies between these two disciplines. We are proud to offer both DesignBuild and construction services through our Contracting division. We are one of the very few of architect-led, design-driven, DesignBuild firms on the East Coast. We offer 20 years of hands-on experience with DesignBuild and construction services for custom homes. A combination of client service and project organization is how we get the job done – on time and on budget.

DesignBuild
For clients that seek a seamless approach to the entire homebuilding process from design development to final cleaning, we are proud to offer, our specialty, DesignBuild service. This method includes the client and maintains a dialogue with them over the entire process. This is a simple process. Mr. Young feels that the majority of projects should be built this way and seeks to diminish the lines drawn between the contractor, architect and client. This team approach keeps the client’s best interest front and center, and is palatable on site throughout your project. We feel this is a ‘win-win’.
Builder
If you have already completed the design process with an architect and now need an experienced builder, we would welcome the opportunity to perform that role for you. We understand the process of design and know how to respect the work of others while adding our own value during the construction process. We know that good communication is essential during this phase of the project and keep it a high priority through to the final days of construction. We are very comfortable working with other architects and they feel their designs will not be compromised when working with us. We offer cost-cutting suggestions based on our experience while taking a team approach to avoiding change orders for our clients.
We are your Custom Builder
Sometimes you just need someone to add the perfect finishing touches on your custom project. Steven and his construction team have extensive experience designing and fabricating custom components and features for your project. Whether it is working with an heirloom grade millworker, custom stainless steel fabricator, or designing anything from custom light fixtures to stand-alone furniture, we will work with you, your architect, or contractor to meet your needs.
