About Steven Young
Steven’s career began while in Architecture School at the University of Kentucky in 1988. It is here he studied under such world-renown architects as José Ouberie, Daniel Libeskind, Leonardo Ricci, and Günther Domenig. His extensive travels throughout Europe formed his architectural education and are still evident in his designs today. Since graduating Architecture School, Steven has worked for a number of firms in the Boston area. After acquiring his architectural license, Mr. Young briefly left the architecture field to work for a large general contractor on Boston’s South Shore. He then pursued his general contracting license prior to going out on his own in 2002 via his DesignBuild practice.
Steven’s project experience ranges greatly and includes single-family residential, multi-family residential, 100+ unit residential, commercial, restaurant, and dormitory uses. He enjoys people and the process needed to construct buildings that will last for generations.
